ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line, or ADSL for short) is a high-speed
Internet access service that uses existing PSTN lines to send and receive
data offering speeds far better than that of dial up connections, While
still leaving the line free to still be used to make or receive calls.
Cardinal offers its own 'Business only' managed network offering up to
8Mb ADSL as standard. The service consists of two Broadband IP networks,
the Primary standard network being optimised bandwidth up to 8Mb. The
Primary Advanced network is a fully managed service with bandwidth 1Mb
to 1Gb+, with quality of service and service level agreements.
Both networks are monitored extensively by the use of packet shapers,
which enable Cardinal to provide a cleaner more efficient and therefore
faster service than most other carriers.
